Financial Policies :: Hudson Dental Associates

Thank you for selecting our office as your dental healthcare provider. We are committed to provide you with the most comprehensive state of the art dental care for a fair fee. We feel that an important aspect of your dental treatment is for you to understand our financial policies and your financial obligation. The following is our Financial Policy, which we require you to read and understand prior to any treatment.

Dental Insurance

Your dental insurance policy is a contract between the patient and the insurance company, we are not a party to the contract. Please be aware that insurance companies are in business to make a profit not necessarily to look out for your best interest. For the convenience of our patients we would be happy to submit the insurance for you, however, we do ask for your estimated portion of the payment at time of service. Please be aware that some of the services provided to you may not be covered by your specific insurance policy. You will still be responsible for any uncovered services provided. If your insurance company has not paid your account within 45 days, the balance is your responsibility.

Hudson Dental Associates WILL NOT submit claims to the following insurance companies: Medicaid, Healthy Kids Gold, Harvard Pilgrim Health, or Tufts Dental Plan. We appologize for your inconvenience in this matter.

Usual and Customary Fees

Our practice is committed to providing the best treatment for our patients and we charge what is usual and customary for out area. You are responsible for payment at the time of service regardless of any insurance company’s arbitrary determination of usual and customary rates.

Credit & Financing

CareCredit At Hudson Dental Associates, we also offer outside financing such as CareCredit. These programs allow our patients to pay in full for their dental services at time of service.

We also accept Cash, Check, MasterCard, Visa, Discover, American Express, and Debit Cards.

Minor Patients

The adult accompanying a minor and the parents (or guardians of the minor) are responsible for full payment at the time of service. For unaccompanied minors, non-emergency treatment will be denied unless charges have been preauthorized and payment at time of service has been pre-arranged.

Missed Appointments

Unless cancelled at least 48 hours in advance, our policy is to charge for missed appointments at the rate of a normal office visit. Please help us serve you better by keeping your appointments.

Pre-Pay Discount Policy

A 3% discount will apply on all cash and check payment on or before date of service for all treatment with and without insurance as long as patient portion is paid in full at time of service.


Senior Citizens age 65 and over, Clergymen, and Sisters receive a 10% discount.


We reserve the right to charge interest in the amount of 12% annum as provided by state law.
